Description: Sunset howlite is a name that we created as we were cutting slabs from a chunk of howlite we acquired through trade. This howlite from is from southern California and had an interesting orange hue in some of the stone to go along with the black vein pattern that is a heavily sought after feature for howlite. The combination spawned the name, "sunste howlite". To our knowledge this vareity from southern California is the only howlite that has this pattern. This cabochon is untreated and un-backed.
